Your gift today ensures we can continue preserving, interpreting, and celebrating this architectural masterpiece for future generations and years to come.
As we reflect on another remarkable year at Frank Lloyd Wright’s Martin House, we are filled with gratitude for the unwavering support of our community of friends. We are proud of all that we’ve accomplished this year, but we know that we could not do any of it without you!
This year, the Martin House has been a hub of activity, bringing the architectural genius of Frank Lloyd Wright to life in new and exciting ways. Some of the highlights include:
- Continuing our Creative Residency program by welcoming a poet and a furniture designer to host workshops and create new, original works of art.
- Welcoming thousands of students of all ages, providing learners with interactive experiences including tours, scout programs, and summer camps.
- Hosting our first on-site exhibition, Thought Built: The Imperial Hotel at 100 – the only exhibition in the United States this year to celebrate the 100th anniversary of this iconic Frank Lloyd Wright design.
- Reaching new audiences through specialty tours, workshops, and our Design Aloud lecture series including nationally acclaimed Wright scholars.
- Expanding our reach in Buffalo’s architectural and cultural tourism sector by working with the Nash House and the Michigan Street African American Cultural Heritage on co-programming and in working with the Coles House Foundation to uplift the reputation of noted local architect Robert T. Coles.
- Growing our collection by welcoming home an original wisteria design art glass window, installed in the Unit Room dining area.
As we look ahead to 2025, we are excited to continue to cement our place as a culturally significant destination in the Western New York community and one of the most-visited Frank Lloyd Wright sites in the United States. With your help, we will continue to inspire both our local community, as well as visitors from around the world.
Let’s continue this important work together.
We invite you to contribute to our Annual Fund – a gift of any size makes a significant impact and will help us engage new audiences, enhance the visitor experience, support ongoing restoration efforts, and more.
Thank you for being an integral part of the Martin House community. Together, we are preserving a masterpiece and inspiring future generations with the timeless beauty of Frank Lloyd Wright’s vision and attracting visitors to Buffalo with the power of design in harmony with nature.
