Please join the Martin House for a talk with Jesse Lerner held in conjunction with the exhibition Thought-Built: The Imperial Hotel at 100. Jesse Lerner is a filmmaker, curator, and writer based in Los Angeles. He is also a professor in the Intercollegiate Media Studies program at the Claremont Colleges.
Lerner will discuss the Maya revival, Frank Lloyd Wright’s Imperial Hotel, textile block houses, Robert Stacy-Judd, and others in the field of visual culture who have mined Mesoamerican history and imagery.
Seating is limited and pre-registration is required. The lecture will be held in the Greatbatch Pavilion Visitor Center, an accessible event space.
