Boy Scout Programs
An Architecture Workshop for Boy Scouts is available in partnership with Explore Buffalo.
This workshop will satisfy all requirements for the merit badge. Scouts will talk with an architect, tour the Martin House and parts of downtown, and practice both measuring and designing plans.
The workshop will be held at the Martin House. Scouts must provide lunch. The cost is $20 per scout.

Girl Scout Programs
Our education space provides an inspiring and creative place for groups. The cost is $15 per scout, with a maximum of 20 scouts per workshop.

Identify Architecture in Nature
- Ages: Brownies, Juniors & Cadettes
- Explore architecture in nature and discover how Frank Lloyd Wright was influenced by the outdoors. Girls will use their creativity to design a bee house, learning how they can positively affect their natural surroundings.
- All materials will be provided.
Inspire Future Architects
- Ages: Juniors, Cadettes, Seniors & Ambassadors
- Explore the architectural and engineering aspects of the Martin House and gain a deeper understanding of a career in architecture. After the tour, scouts will have the opportunity to create their own architectural blueprint.
- All materials will be provided.
Discover the Beauty of Art Glass
- Ages: Brownies, Juniors & Cadettes
- Tour the beautiful and historic Martin House with a focus on the designs and history of the art glass windows found throughout the estate. After the tour, scouts will learn how the art glass windows are made and create their own “art glass” replica to take home.
- All materials will be provided.
Create a Japanese Block Print
- Ages: Juniors, Cadettes, Seniors & Ambassadors
- Explore the Martin House and its many Japanese block prints while learning about their history, creation, and themes, including naturalistic elements. Scouts will make their own Japanese prints out of soft cut while focusing on the concepts of negative/positive space and nature-inspired design.
