Design Aloud Lecture: John Waters | 6:00-7:30pm
Frank Lloyd Wright’s 1903 Walser House, a prototype for later designs including the Barton House, is poised for restoration after years of preservation efforts. In this talk, John H. Waters explores the house’s significance in Wright’s work and its connection to the Barton House.
Reading Invasion | 7:00-8:00pm
Bring a chair and a book and join us for a community reading session on the East Lawn, directly off of Summit Avenue (at the corner of Jewett Parkway).

Summer Evening Tours | 5:30pm and 6:00pm
It’s time to see the Martin House in a new light – during golden hour!
Join us for a special 90-minute guided tour that offers a unique perspective on Frank Lloyd Wright’s design, as the warm, evening light reveals new details, textures, and depth throughout the house and landscape.

Reading By Design Book Club
Join us for our Book Club where we will be reading books relating to our exhibition: Collecting Ourselves, which focuses on the future of collections at Martin House while engaging with current topics in museum work. This session will cover Loot by Tania James with discussion facilitated by Bhakti Sharma.

Spend a summer evening painting at the Martin House!
We will gather around the Floricycle, enjoy the blooming flowers, and create art inspired by the beautiful surroundings. Please enjoy complimentary drink as you create your artwork! All materials will be provided. Please note that the plan may change if weather conditions do not permit.

Music in Bloom: Songbirds | 6:00-7:30pm
Our Summer Music Series is BACK! Grab a chair or blanket and enjoy music amidst our stunning gardens.
Songbirds are a five-piece tribute band delivering fully live, authentic recreations of Fleetwood Mac’s concert sound across the decades.

Self-Guided Audio Tours | Offered 5:00-8:00pm
Explore the Martin House at your own pace on our new audio tour! Using your own smartphone and headphones, enjoy an immersive audio experience as you move through the first floor of the house, the Pergola, Conservatory, and Carriage House.

Martin House Cornhole Classic | 6:00-8:30pm
Join us for the inaugural Martin House Cornhole Tournament, where teams of two will compete for championship bragging rights and exciting prizes in a night of friendly competition.
Whether you’re playing or cheering from the sidelines, you can enjoy live music, refreshments, self-guided tours, and more on our beautiful campus. Space is limited, so register your team early!
$60 per team (two players, four drink tickets). Spectator tickets are also available for $10 (one drink ticket).
