Restoration Through Objects Tours

Discover the fascinating story of restoring Frank Lloyd Wright’s masterpiece. Join a longtime team member for an insider’s look at the 40-year restoration of the Martin House. They will guide you through a personal collection of objects, from the bricks to the Winged Victory statue, revealing the stories behind each piece.

Learn about the triumphs and challenges of locating and reconstructing original elements, finding skilled artisans, engaging the community, and selecting materials that honor Wright’s vision. This 90-minute tour takes you through the first floor of the Martin House, the Pergola, Conservatory, and Barton House.

Offered for a limited time on Saturday mornings throughout the exhibition, the tour includes full access to the exhibition and an insider’s look at Wright’s “opus.”

There is stair-climbing, considerable walking, and standing involved on this tour. This tour is not wheelchair accessible.

Not intended for children under the age of 8.
