In honor of National Adopt a Shelter Pet Month, this family event invites animal lovers and their furry friends to enjoy a fall afternoon on the Martin House campus.

Event highlights include:

  • Meet adoptable pets from the City of Buffalo Animal Shelter and learn more about giving a shelter pet a forever home.
  • Capture the moment with professional pet photography by Marlee & Me Photography, featuring the iconic Martin House as a backdrop.
  • Show off your best costume in our pet costume contest, with celebrity judges and prizes in three categories:
    • Best Overall Costume
    • Scariest Costume
    • Best Pet & Owner Collaboration Costume
  • Costume contest judging begins at 4 PM, with winners announced at 4:30 PM. Enter here >>
  • Shop local at a market featuring local, pet-focused vendors.
  • Grab a bite from food trucks, including a special Pup Cup treat from Anderson’s Food Truck for your four-legged friends.
  • Explore the Martin House campus with self-guided tours and enjoy the beauty of this iconic Frank Lloyd Wright landmark.
