Ginkgo Necklace
Ginkgo Necklace
$48.00

The delicate fluted ginkgo leaf is the inspiration for this sterling silver pendant necklace that comes with a 20" sterling silver chain. Two dignified, grand old Ginkgo trees stood like leafy sentinels on either side of the Martin House driveway. The most southeasterly of the pair was planted in 1905 as part of Frank Lloyd Wright's original landscape design. Its partner was planted sometime afterward. Ginkgo trees were a favorite of Wright's. Their presence in Japan may have influenced his bias, as he was particularly partial to Japanese art and architecture.
