Footprints in the Desert: Frank Lloyd Wright in Arizona
Lecture with Jack Quinan
Frank Lloyd Wright designed buildings in thirty-eight of the United States with a high concentration in the upper Midwest and Southwest. This presentation will explore Wright's attraction to the Arizona's desert environment through a selection of buildings representative of the architect's attention to human existence in the uniquely harsh conditions of the Southwest.
Jack Quinan is Martin House Curator Emeritus and a member of the Board of Directors of the Martin House Restoration Corporation. He is a founding member of the Frank Lloyd Wright Building Conservancy and the author of several books on Frank Lloyd Wright.
